Can Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, or Kidney disease cause eczema/psoriasis?

I have diabetes, hypothyroidism and recurring nephrotic syndrome. I have heard that at least 2 of these 3 conditions can cause skin irritation. Is this true? Since I've had diabetes and thyroid disease most of my life (since age 4) could this possibly have been the main cause of my "sensitive"skin, rather than just perfumes or dyes? I'm sure that the perfumes adn dyes would aggravate it, but maybe not the core cause of it. If so, is there anything I can do or should ask my doctor about other than the usual advice for dry skin? I drink nearly a gallon of water a day (when I'm not have nephrotic syndrome symptoms), and I use lotion for sensitive skin, and take mildly warm showers, so I was wondering if I'm most likely going to have to just live with this neverending itchiness and scaling, or can I be helped?

Simple answer, no. There are no known "causes" to autoimmune disorders. It sounds as though you have some real struggles that may be related to one another, but not a cause of one another.
Good luck

The only thing that I've seen that is similar is that my skin gets really, incredibly dry with my hypothyroidism. My hands are dry with the skin cracking over my knuckles and bleeding, no matter how much lotion I put on. The best thing you can do is to take the medication to bring your thyroid levels down to normal and then see if the symptoms persist. i would imagine that they would go away if hypothyroidism is the cause.

It can but only under certain situations. If your kidney disease or diabetes compromise other organs, than its possible but this is the only time. If you have eczema or psoriasis, it's most likely from having a overactive immune system and honey combined with rose water works great for eczema and psoriasis.
