Cipro for yeast with another?

I have a severe yeast infection, I am diabetic with high blood pressure and thyroid problems, my dr. recently gave me diflucan 100 mg. (once daily) and cipro 500 mg. (twice daily) together, I was just wondering if this was safe to have two strong antibiotics. Oh, she also put me on a daily probiotic.

It's reasonably safe, but there is the risk of destroying the natural flora found in your stomach and intestines. That explains why she prescribed the probiotic. Be sure to take the drugs with food because stomach upset, especially with Cipro, is common.

Good Luck!

Anibiotics have a tendency to cause yeast infections and yeast infections mostly accure post antibiotics. Try a simple natural way to fight a yeast infection. There are many over the counter products availible at your local pharmacy. Talk with your pharmacist it's less expensive than speaking with your doctor. Myself personally have never heard of prescribing an antibiotic for a yeast infection. Another method is apply plain yogurt on a tampon to help boost your natural bacteria. It works.
