Description of hypothyroidism in dogs My chihuahua has been on thyroid medication and has suddenly been producing mucous and had trouble breathing and retching. Could this in any way be related to the thyroid medication. His vet has given theo-dur and prednisone for this problem but my husband has decided he should not be taking the thyroid medicine, is he right. |

Yes it could very well be the medication. You should look into treating your Chihuahua's hypothyroid holistically like I did with my dog. I gave him Thyro-Up from Petwellbeing.com.
