How important is it to have an endocrinologist remove a thyroid vs a general surgeon? I had a thyroid biopsy on Dec 22 and it came back with no cancers cells in the portion removed but was inconclusive. I am scheduled to see the surgeon who did the biopsy to discuss removing my thyroid. Although I am generally confident in the surgeon, my husband is not. AND if a specialized surgeon would be the recommended one, how do you go about finding one that is right for you without going through all the tests all over again? |
