I am 49 yrs. Up until a couple of weeks ago i weighed 21olbs. Then all of sudden i gained a few pounds. This was i feb when i had blood work. The RESULTS SAID TSH 5.11. AND THE SONO SHOWED 2 SML NODULES. THEN I WENT TO AN ENDOCRINOLOGIST . THE NEW BLOOD WORK SAID TSH 4.19 . TSI 42 HIGH, T4FREE 1.0, T3FREE 291. DR PUT ME ON LEVOTHYROXIN 112MCG /DAY.SHE SAID IT WILL SHRINK THE NODULES. I GAINED 8 LBS SINCE I WAS DIAGNOSED AS HYPO THYROID. WILL I GAIN MORE WEIGHT.? I 'm OVERWEIGHT NOW AND I FEEL VERY DEFEATED BY ALL THIS. is there a positive side to all of this because i would like my body to normalize. how long does it take before the medicine works? i dont feel better after a week, i feel worse .thank you |
