I have a enlarged thyroid and i cyst in one of my thyroid gland

I have a enlarged thyroid and a cyst in one of my thyroid glands and on the left side of my neck it hurts it kind of feels like I pulled a arm muscle because the pain goes down to my arm can that be from the cyst. Do cyst even hurt if they do hurt how would you explain the pain.

When I first was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's, I had an enlarged thyroid and it physically HURT. I don't recall pain shooting, but if your thyroid is enlarged, then the pain could definitely be from that.

If it becomes a problem, you can see into having it removed. For me, my thyroid went down in size once I was on the proper dose of my medication.

Enlargement of the thyroid gland and/or a thyroid cyst are not painful in themselves, but pain can occur due to compression on surrounding tissues. Compression of a nerve could cause pain to radiate down your arm.
