I have a enlarged thyroid and i cyst in one of my thyroid gland I have a enlarged thyroid and a cyst in one of my thyroid glands and on the left side of my neck it hurts it kind of feels like I pulled a arm muscle because the pain goes down to my arm can that be from the cyst. Do cyst even hurt if they do hurt how would you explain the pain. |

When I first was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's, I had an enlarged thyroid and it physically HURT. I don't recall pain shooting, but if your thyroid is enlarged, then the pain could definitely be from that.
If it becomes a problem, you can see into having it removed. For me, my thyroid went down in size once I was on the proper dose of my medication.
