Throat I recently noticed a bulging area on the right side of my throat where the glands are located. I saw my GYN doctor this morning for my annual checkup and she ruled out thyroid but wants me to see a throat specialist. She's a dr. of few words. What are some possibilities? No pain, no fever. |

I'm guessing your worried about cancer but it could be a host of other possibilities. My advice is to visit the throat doctor at the earliest so you can find out what you have after the tests are done. Remember, that for whatever you have, there will be therapies available to make you get healthy and it is better to act on them early and not late.

It's disappointing that your doctor is unable to help the patient by providing them with advice. I have a doctor who is also like this to and it is very frustrating. If thyroid has been ruled out I would be inclined to believe that it may be your tonsils that have been inflamed somehow.
The best thing you can do is see the specialist, I am not going to tell you not to worry because it is our human nature. There is a strong possibility that this could be something trivial however it may be something serious so I hope it all works out for you.
