Thyroid Nodules How do you get thyroid nodules if you have had your thyroid removed? I had the right side removed at age 13 because of a nodule (non benign) and the left side removed in 1981 because of another nodule (also benign). I have been on the same dose of thyroid meds for the last 20 years. My dr recently had an ultrasound done because he felt the thyroid may have grown back because of the low dose of medication I am taking. No they think I have nodules again and I need to see and endocrinologist. |
