Thyroid problems? I have a lump in my throat that is painful. ive had weight loss that wasnt controlled(25 lbs to be exact) i also have had the iud. but im afraid its my thyroid... can i still concieve with these problems is it life threatening? can my iud be causing these problems with my thyroid? |

You can definitely still conceive with a thyroid problem. I was diagnosed after my son was born, and got pregnant with my daughter just a few months after I was diagnosed and got my numbers evened out. The painful lump in your throat - if you can feel it from the outside front, if you have trouble and pain swallowing, then it sounds like what I had. If you have lost a significant amount of weight, then it is definitely something to check out. Thyroid problems are usually easily controlled, but if you let it go there can be long-term and damaging effects.
