What do I do? I posted a question yesterday about my my lower abdomen cramping all the time and I think it is my bladder. I was wondering if maybe it has dropped. Also, I have experienced some soreness in my breasts. I received a response that I needed to contact my doctor. I guess I should have been more detailed. I have no insurance right now. I also have a Thyroid disorder (Hoshimotothyranditis) which I take Synthroid everyday for the rest of my life. I have no doctor. I do however see a free clinic in my hometown for my Thyroid medication and testing, but I have found no one to test my levels or help me to find out if something is wrong. I am wainting on a return phone call from the social worker where I had my surgery done in 2007. So far I am having no luck, and I hate feeling this way everday. It makes my daily work and homelife rough. I feel crappy all the time. |

It is not ur bladder.
as much as u explained about ur cramping in the lower abdomen, i think u need to make ultrasound of ur reproductive system(ovaries, fallopians and uterus.
u also need to check ur intestines, large intestine.some digestive enzymes might have been diminshed due to hormonal changes due to ur thyroid problems...i reccomend checking ur thyroid hormone again

I am sorry I guess I wasn't clear. I do not have a uterus, tubes, cervix, or ovaries. There are no more female parts left in there. My first surgery was when I was 27 and they removed my uterus do to my already having the children I wanted and I became severely anemic because of my cycles. Then in 2007 they took the rest due to my ovaries having large cysts on them and they quit working. Every since then I have had cramping, frequent urination and nothing but problems. I know they told me I would be thrown into menopause 20 years ahead of my time, but I never dreamed it would be like this. This stinks!

Hi Jwilloughby1, I too have had a similar pain and cramping very low in my abdomen from time to time since I had my hysterectomy in 2003. I'm sorry to say but it made me feel a little better to hear someone else has too as I hadn't heard this complaint from others before. As you did, I thought bladder but mine has been infrequent and the pain lasts only a moment or less and usually occurs occasionally when I urinate, which is why my mind went to bladder as well. I have not been to the doctor about it as it is so infrequent I always manage to put it off.
I have recently been put on a hormone therapy replacement drug by my obgyn and I've noticed I have not had this pain since although it has only been a couple of months. I wonder if it is related? Guess I will have to give it more time to know for sure. If you are able to get to a free clinic it might be something to inquire about if you are not on any htr drug yet. I'm sure you've already considered this but often times doctors will let you work out a payment plan where you can even pay just $5 a month or something you can afford and they can often give you samples so you don't have to pay for the prescriptions, maybe worth checking out? I also wonder if you gave a call to planned parenthood and inquired if they could help or if they might recommend a free clinic place that could, sounds funny I'm sure but they generally help with people who do not have insurance and seems they may know of where to recommend for you.
I wish you the best and hope you are able to get your health problems resolved.
