Hypothyroidism is a condition a condition wherein the body is lacking hormones such as T3 and T4 which is important to regulate your body's metabolism.
Causes may be inflammation of the thyroid gland which affects some cells and therefore it can not produce sufficient hormones. The other cause is surgical removal of a part in the thyroid gland. Insufficient production may lead to such condition hypothyroidism.
Symptoms include:
*fatigue
*Body Weakness
*Weight gain or weight loss
*Coarse or dry hair
*rough and dry skin
*hair loss
*cold intolerance
*muscle cramps
*Constipation
*Depression
*Irritability
*Memory Loss
*Abnormal menstrual cycle
*Low libido
Potential dangers of hypothyroidism if left untreated can result in life-threatening depressions, heart failures, coma and eventually death.
It is treatable for patients simply by taking thyroid hormone supplements or drugs prescribed by the doctor.
